I have to report that the last contract Mail Packet homeward was detained twenty-four hours in this harbour, from 9 A.M. of the 27th to the same hour of the 28th Ultimo.

To guard against any such delay in the future, a representation was made by the Travelling Agent in the case of the "Imen" to His Grace the Duke of Newcastle, K.G.
